On a sunny winter day, Atlas F1's Ross Stonefeld and his photographer David Cameron took the train down south to the small town of Faenza, for a guided tour of the Minardi factory. They came back with an exclusive look inside
This is 'The Warehouse' where every nut, bolt, washer, or fixture you can think of to assemble a Grand Prix car are cataloged and stored.
For 'cool' factor this was our favorite room. A fully working steering wheel connected to a Minardi gearbox. It allows the technician to simulate a lap of any circuit on the calendar to check that the gearbox is working properly and also to test its reliability.
Though it must be said we were just as impressed by this imaginative clock from Champion spark plugs.
