The Stewart Grand Prix team announced a four year sponsorship deal with HSBC holdings.
Damon Hill shocks the Formula One world by announcing that he will drive for Arrows in 1997.
Bernie Ecclestone said that Formula One would be holding a Grand Prix in Malaysia by 1999.

New issues will be out Wednesday (08:00 GMT/09:00 CET) after each Grand Prix. ATLAS TEAM F1 welcomes articles, race reviews, and commentary from all F1 fans. Race reviews are encouraged by those attending GPs (although not a necessity). Submit contributions and questions via email to ATLAS TEAM F1 (comments@atlasf1.com). Text can be in the body of the mail, or sent as an attached file. Please include a short bio of yourself. The deadline for submissions is Monday (23:00 GMT) for each G.P. issue. All contributions are subject to review by the editors.
