1997 SuperGrid and SuperRace

Luxembourg Grand Prix Edition. Compilation by Rory Gordon, Australia

This edition of the SuperRace shows three quite disparate sets of figures. It is hoped that each set is, in itself, self-explanatory.

It should be noted that Trulli appears in these figures three times. Firstly as a Minardi (MIN) driver, secondly as a Prost (PRO) driver, and thirdly with his total (TOT) performances. On this basis, it would seem that the car really does make a difference and perhaps that Trulli is not as bad as many people thought he was at the start of this season.

Looking at the "Racing Time" figures, it would seem that no driver in 1997 will actually manage to spend a full 24-hour day racing in F1 events. It is left to other, perhaps more cynical minds, to work out therefore what Michael Schumacher's hourly rate might be, for example.

Drivers who have not competed in every race this season are, as usual, marked with an aster ("*"). Please note that Hakkinen's disqualification places him in this category.
