On a sunny winter day, Atlas F1's Ross Stonefeld and his photographer David Cameron took the train down south to the small town of Faenza, for a guided tour of the Minardi factory. They came back with an exclusive look inside
Twin brothers Mauro and Maurizio craft the exhaust pipes for the Cosworth V10's.
Due to issues of reliablity, and ultimately cost, Minardi exhausts are built to a thickness of .8mm while the slightly more famous Italian team up the road uses 0.6mm thickness.
