2003 Qualifying Differentials

By Marcel Borsboom, Netherlands
Atlas F1 Magazine Writer

With twenty qualifying sessions completed for 2003, the differentials are once again on a roll! Let's see which drivers deserve bragging rights.

France Notables

  • Friday Take Three For the third consecutive Grand Prix, Friday's qualfying was held under volatile weather conditions, and so once again the session won't be included in this year's Qualifying Differentials.

  • Setting the Record Straight: Amazingly enough, and for the first time this season, not a single driver set a personal best at the French Grand Prix.

  • The Elevating Changes: The wet weather on Friday's qualifying made for an interesting elevator, with rises and falls ranging from +16 (Ralf Schumacher) to -18 (Jos Verstappen).

The Elevator

We've decided to also keep track of the position changes between Friday and Saturday. We're not yet sure if it means anything, but we'll keep an eye on the results for the time being...
