Saturday March 4th, 2000 Ferrari's Michael Schumacher, McLaren's Mika Hakkinen and Jaguar's Eddie Irvine will have the honours of opening the official FIA Formula One season, in the first FIA press conference, held on Thursday before the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. The three, joined by Gerhard Berger of BMW and Takefumi Hosaka of Honda, will be interviewed at the press conference room of the media centre at Albert Park, at 15:00 local time (GMT +11). The FIA also reported that rookies Jenson Button (Williams) and Gaston Mazzacane (Minardi) will attend the Friday press conference, along with Jarno Trulli (Jordan), Ron Dennis (McLaren), Jean Todt (Ferrari) and Neil Ressler (Jaguar). The Friday press conference will take place at 15:30 local time (GMT +11).
