This afternoon, Michael Schumacher underwent a medical examination in Paris. This showed that the bones have healed sufficiently for him to resume normal activities. Tomorrow, Schumacher will drive an F399 at the Mugello circuit for a series of shake downs.

However, Schumacher has informed Ferrari of his decision not to take part in the remaining two Grands Prix of the season, as he feels he is not sufficiently fit to cope with the demands of a race.
