Eddie Irvine topped today's testing times at the Barcelona track. He was with a 1m 23.967s just a bit faster than Jean Alesi's 1m 24.053s. Ferrari is working hard to close the gap to McLaren. According to their chief designer Rory Byrne the team needs to work on getting more out of the Bridgestone tyres.

Meanwhile dominated another testing session at Silverstone. David Coulthard was just like yesterday the faster of the McLaren duo. Giancarlo Fisichella came in third, but he was 1.7 seconds slower than Mika Hakkinen.
