Autosport Magazine's website reports today that Stewart driver Jos Verstappen may be dropped by his team for next season. According to the Magazine, Verstappen has not done a good enough job to retain his seat with the team, whose boss and owner, Jackie Stewart, is under growing pressure from engine supplier Ford to find a second driver who will be at least as impressive as Rubens Barrichello.

Dutch Verstappen was brought to Stewart at the French Grand Prix, replacing Dane Jan Magnussen, who had rather poor results with Stewart. According to Autosport, now Verstappen may be replaced with Briton Johhy Herbert, who is expected to leave his current team, Sauber, at the end of this season.
