The McLaren team have presented their new car livery today.

FIA studying Belgian documents

The FIA are studying documents send to them by Belgian authorities who are fighting to safe their Grand Prix. The Grand Prix is ready to be axed from this year's calendar because of anti tobacco legislation, which will come into play in Belgium in 1999.

A FIA spokesman stated: "We received a number of documents from the Belgian authorities, which we are looking at and once we have completed that we willb release a statement announcing our decision."


Williams test

Jacques Villeneuve stated after the tests at Le Castellet (France), which ended today, that they are ready for the season. He said: "The car is great, and we are ready to take everybody on."

Meanwhile McLaren is tops the times on the Barcelona (Spain) circuit. David Coulthard was over three seconds faster than second best Johnny Herbert in the Sauber.
