Esteban Tuero has not managed to get a 'super-licence'. He has not had enough results in his career, and because of his slow test results it is almost impossible to appeal. Norberto Fontana is the most likely replacement because he has the most financial backing over drivers like Kristensen and Verstappen.

Repsol to back Jordan

Several Spanish newspapers have announced that Spanish oil giant Repsol, prominently present in motor-racing, will back Jordan-Mugen next season. They also stated an official announcement will be made on Thursday at the Barcelona test track.

They play to back Jordan test driver Pedro de la Rosa in his career.

Mika Hakkinen was the fastest man on the track with almost 1.2 seconds difference to Giancarlo Fisichella.
