Ricardo Rosset has landed the last seat of the grid. He will be Tyrrell's second driver behind Tora Takagi. Rosset started last year's season with Lola, but Lola was forced out after one race because of financial problems.

Rosset stated: "This is obviously a big opportunity for me and, hopefully, I finally have the chance to show what I can do in Formula One. The team have such a lot of experience and I just want to listen and learn and do the best job I can."

Steve Nielson of Tyrrell stated: "Ricardo has a lot of driver talent, but he hasn't had the right circumstances to show what he can do in Formula One."

It was first expected that Jos Verstappen could keep his seat, the reason that he hasn't is rumoured to be a BAT decision, who has taken over the Tyrrell team.
