Atlas F1 Who Are We?

ATLAS F1 is a premier on-line magazine devoted to "the art of motor racing" -- The Journal of Formula One Motorsport. The Journal is run and prepared by a team of Formula One enthusiasts with specialized individual talents, all skilled writers and editors from around the world, professing in Journalism, Information Technologies, Data Analyses, and others.

ATLAS F1 features a weekly magazine throughout the year. Each issue holds several articles - amongst them race reviews, commentary, features and interviews, along with statistics, in-depth coverage of events and a look back at the history of the sport. Rumors are downplayed in favor of focusing on critical and insightful assessments. Analyses are preferred over suspicion. Opinions are proffered freely, but only with substantiation.

ATLAS F1 also provides a daily F1 news service, considered one of the most reliable on the Internet. And while we aim to provide the news as fast as possible, accuracy is not an option. More often than not, ATLAS F1 News Service held the most accurate account of events.

ATLAS F1 Journal was created in March of 1995 and is now running its fifth volume. The Journal established itself as the top source of Formula One information on the Internet, with enviable and loyal following. In fact, ATLAS F1 has been, for quite some time, the only motorsport site - not to mention F1 site - on the 100hot sports site list (http://www.100hot.com/sports/).

ATLAS F1 is a totally autonomous magazine and owes allegiance to no one or no other group or organization. We take great pride in the fact that, in the 4 years of its existence, ATLAS F1 has established itself as the leading Formula One site of the web. We owe this only to the devoted readers who continue to visit ATLAS F1 more than any other site, albeit the growing number of F1 related sites on the World Wide Web.

"The equivalent of your weekly F1 newspaper, and you don't even have to order it from your local newsagent."

Top Gear's Spetember 1998 award
the Beeb The BBC Web Review previously described Atlas F1 as "some of the best journalism on the Net." Now the BBC Top Gear webzine has selected Atlas F1 as 'The One to Watch': "Worth a visit from any Formula One fan. News, stats and informed comment on the season."

F1 Racing Golden Modem Awards - January 1997
F1 Racing Jan 97 BEST NEWS SITE

Computer Life "We know what you're doing" - January 1997
Computer Life Jan 1997 "Interested in knowing what others get up to on the Net? Then check out Voyeur, which randomly selects 20 real-time searches people are making on the Magellan search engine at any one time. The selection is refreshed every 20 seconds. Here's what was on people's minds at 5:45pm, 11 November: hunting; hindu; legs; nude jenny mccarthy; creatures; atlas formula one; art history; warbird airplane restorations; copstalk; verteeq technology; cholesterol; ultimate band list; erotica; flag united states display; technical advances of america; corrosion coatings; brain tumor bulletin board; militaria; american express; death row luxuries."

F1 Racing "On-line access" - September 1996
F1 Racing Sept 97 "Apparently, this magazine (F1 Racing) you're holding in your hand is destined for the scraphead; doomed to be discarded in the face of the Internet, and digital information transmitted round the world faster than a Renault engineer can say "Whoops, there goes a piston." But, how hot are the F1 sites dedicated to news? Can you get more information more quickly by logging on than by trotting down to the newsagents? I took a look at five sites to find out.

...Atlas F1 News topped them all with an extensive preview, odds for the race and a weather forcast."
