The Williams team resumed their work at the Barcelona circuit today, where the Grove-based outfit continued testing for the third consecutive day.
Test driver Antonio Pizzonia and Marc Gene were again the men in charge of the testing duties, working alone at the Spanish circuit. Pizzonia completed a total of 63 laps as he worked on a tyre testing programme, setting a quickest time of 1:17.985.
Spaniard Gene meanwhile continued with the development of next year's BMW engine, the test driver suffering a hydraulics problems that hampered his progress. Gene covered 27 laps with a best time of 1:18.084.
"This morning Antonio Pizzonia worked through an extensive tyre programme with Michelin alongside suspension development work," said Sam Michael, chief operations engineer. "Marc Gene continued to put mileage on the new engine. We had a small hydraulic problem on Marc's car but this will not prevent us continuing the test tomorrow."
Williams will wrap up the Barcelona test tomorrow.
