Renault, Jordan Complete Silverstone TestThe Renault and Jordan teams concluded today their preparations ahead of next week's Japanese Grand Prix, testing for the third consecutive day at the Silverstone circuit.

Briton Oliver Gavin was behind the wheel of the Renault for the three days, completing an extensive programme of development work focusing predominantly on development components for the 2003 car.

Today he also conducted a tyre evaluation programme, covering 44 laps with a quickest time of 1:23.787.

"Today concluded a useful three-day test at Silverstone with Oliver Gavin" said Renault's technical director Mike Gascoyne. "In spite of several engine problems during the week, Olly did a very good job, driving consistently and collecting useful information for the last race of the season and beyond.

"We are very happy with the results and I think he thoroughly enjoyed his test."

Also on track were the Jordan team, whose Japanese driver Takuma Sato completed a two-day test ahead of the race at Suzuka, posting a quickest time of 1:22.010 over 92 laps.
