The Ferrari team will decide on Saturday which car they will use at next week's Malaysian Grand Prix, according to sporting director Jean Todt.
Ferrari, winners of the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday thanks to World Champion Michael Schumacher, used an updated version of last year's F2001 in Melbourne, and after testing both the old chassis and the new F2002 this week, Todt said the team will decide which one to take to Malaysia.
The Frenchman, however, said that taking both cars was also an option.
"Burti tests at Fiorano the F2001 with new components," Todt told Italian daily La Repubblica. "Badoer is at Mugello with the F2002. Saturday, with the test results at hand, we'll take a decision.
"There are three possible solutions: to go to Malaysia with the old F2001 used here in Australia, or to go to Malaysia with the new F2002, or to go with a new car and an old car."
Schumacher is the only one of the two Ferrari drivers to have driven the F2002, while Brazilian teammate Rubens Barrichello is yet to do it.
