Brazilian Rubens Barrichello topped the timesheets on the third day of testing for the Ferrari team at the Mugello circuit, where the World Champions were joined by the British American Racing team.
Barrichello, winner of the European Grand Prix on Sunday, returned to work today, replacing test driver Luca Badoer at the wheel of the F2002 chassis. The Brazilian driver completed a total of 89 laps around the Italian circuit, finishing the session more than three seconds ahead of Canadian Jacques Villeneuve.
The Honda-powered BAR squad, the only team yet to score a point this season, began their preparations for the British Grand Prix today, with test driver Anthony Davidson working alongside Villeneuve.
