Thursday March 30th, 2000 Benetton's Giancarlo Fisichella was again fastest, on the second day of testing at Silverstone where eight teams are currently running testing before the San Marino Grand Prix. The morning session was again marred by rain, and it was also the time when Johnny Herbert (Jaguar), Ricardo Zonta (BAR) and Jarno Trulli (Prost) set their best times. But When the clouds drifted away from the circuit in the afternoon, Fisichella was able to set the quickest time of the day with a 1:27.47. Jacques Villeneuve (BAR) was second fastest, ahead of Olivier Panis (McLaren), Eddie Irvine (Jaguar), Jean Alesi (Prost) and Jos Verstappen (Arrows). Mika Salo, who was testing the Sauber for the first time since the team withdrew from the Brazilian Grand Prix, was seventh. Meanwhile, Williams driver Ralf Schumacher, failed to complete a timed lap due to various problems the team encountered. Testing continues today at Silverstone. Yesterday's times:
