A week before the Grand Prix of Brazil takes off, Jaguar's Eddie Irvine criticises the conditions of the Interlagos circuit, saying the track's asphalt surface is inadquate for a Formula One race.
"The circuit is one of the old fashioned tracks in that there is nothing artificial about it. That certainly goes for the surface which seems identical to what you can find outside the circuit gates. I've heard they have resurfaced a lot of the circuit for this year, but I'm not holding my breath," said the Ulsterman.
Interlagos underwent resurfacing last month (see picture) and FIA officials have confirmed it is ready for next week's Grand Prix.
