David Coulthard outpaced pre-race favourite Michael Schumacher to clock the fastest lap in Saturday's free practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix.
Schumacher, in a Ferrari, was comfortably the faster of the two early on but Coulthard improved as the session went on and ended with the fastest lap time of 1:20:405, nearly one-tenth of a second faster than the German.
Coulthard's McLaren teammate and defending world champion Mika Hakkinen, who was fastest in Thursday's free practice, clocked the fifth quickest time.
Benetton's Giancarlo Fisichella Benetton was third fastest, with Jarno Trulli of Jordan in fourth place and Rubens Barrichello in the other Ferrari sixth.
