Alex Zanardi spoke about his departure from Formula One for the first time this week, saying he is still not sure whether he will return to racing or not.

"I'm going to sit down with my family and think," Zanardi said. "If the fire comes back, I may come back to America, but right now it's something I don't want to take into consideration."

Zanardi also commented on the reasons of his fall-out with Williams, which saw the team terminate his contract and replacing him with rookie Jenson Button. "There were some problems at the beginning of the relationship that drove both parties apart," Zanardi explained. "At one point, the whole thing broke down and we lost confidence in each other. I still don't have all the answers. I thought I could do better than what I did."
