David Coulthard will marry his girl friend Heidi Wichlinski, the Sun reports today.

The paper said the 28-year-old Scot proposed to Wichlinski at his parents' home on New Year's Eve. The McLaren driver presented the 25-year-old American with a diamond ring but the couple had not yet set a date for their wedding, the Sun said.

"Heidi's parents were also there. They had flown over from America to spend New Year with David's family," an unnamed friend of the couple told tabloid. "They were all delighted by the news. They are both very happy but have been trying to keep things quiet."
