Frentzen Gives the EJ10 its First Shakedown

Tuesday January 18th, 2000

The Benson and Hedges Jordan team tested its new Formula One car, the Jordan Mugen-Honda EJ10, for the first time yesterday. The team's German driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen gave the car a shakedown on the Club Straight at Silverstone Circuit.

In cold but bright conditions the EJ10 was given a full systems check, prior to running on the Silverstone National Circuit today and tomorrow. Frentzen will continue to undertake the initial tests, teammate Jarno Trulli waiting for his turn later in the month.

The EJ10 is named using the initials of team owner and Chairman Eddie Jordan combined with 10th year of Jordan’s participation in Formula One.
