Barrichello Drives the Second F1-2000 Car

Thursday February 24th, 2000

Ferrari resumed testing at the Mugello circuit today, with Rubens Barrichello driving the second F1-2000 (chassis number 199) for the first time.

The Brazilian driver completed a total of 23 laps, with a best time of 1:25.742. "We had a few problems," said Barrichello, "as this was a new car. The time we set on lap 5 was not bad but now we have to look for the best set-up for tomorrow."

Tomorrow, Barrichello continues testing at Mugello, while Michael Schumacher will be at the Fiorano circuit.

The Mugello lap record is 1:24.850 (M. Schumacher)
