Thursday February 10th, 2000 The FIA is inspecting the head restraints of the Jordan 2000 challenger, the EJ10, and is expected to let the team know in a few days whether their modifications are cleared or whether they are deemed illegal. The decision should also affect Ferrari, which is using a similar method as Jordan's. No further details are known at the moment and both teams refused to comment tonight. Jordan and Ferrari continue to test their new cars whilst waiting the FIA's decision. If the cockpits will be deemed illegal, the teams will be forced to go back to the drawing boards with only 4 weeks to go until the first Grand Prix of the season. Perhaps unrelated, Michael Schumacher complained yesterday, after his very first drive in the Ferrari F320, that his rear head is constantly hit by winds caught between his neck and the head-rest. Today he was forced to quit driving after only five laps with a stiff neck.
