Jaguar have signed Brazilian Luciano Burti as test driver for their entry into Formula One.

The 24 year old, who finished second in this year's British Formula Three Championship will test alongside regular drivers Eddie Irvine and Johnny Herbert next month at Jerez, evaluating parts destined for the 2000 car.

It was also announced Jaguar expected to launch their inaugural entry into Formula One on January 25, although it is expected the car will have already hit the track under disguise before the launch.
