Arrows team principal, Tom Walkinshaw, announced today the appointment of Eghbal Hamidy as new Chief Designer, strengthening the Arrows Design team, headed by Technical Director Mike Coughlan.

Eghbal started work in Formula One at Williams Grand Prix in 1988 as a Seionr Aerodynamicist, joining Stewart Grand Prix some eight years later as Head of Aerodynamics. Eghbahl's priority in his new role will be to head the design team on the A21, which will be powered by Supertec FB02 V10 engines in the year 2000.

Recently appointed Head of R&D, Dan Parry-Williams, a long-term employee at TWR, working on a variety of road and race car projects, from Jaguar XJ220, Volvo C70 to Aston Martin Vantage, adds to the new senior technical line-up to provide a solid foundation for future development work for the Arrows team.
