Ferrari issued today the following update on Michael Schumacher's current condition:

Yesterday, 18th July, Michael Schumacher left a clinic near Geneva to return to his home in Switzerland. Michael had been at the clinic receiving treatment since last Tuesday. He went there having been discharged from the hospital in England where his right leg was operated on, following his accident in the British Grand Prix.

His general condition is good. His potential for recovery has also impressed the doctors who are treating him. Furthermore, Michael has been deeply touched by all the concern and support shown him by the entire team and the fans from all around the world.

As from today, the German driver begins a rehabilitation programme prepared by the medical team.
