Testing at Magny Cours continued today, for the second day. Most teams concentrated on set up and tire tests for the coming French Grand Prix.
Ferrari were running their new engine spec, which was used in the Canadian Grand Prix' qualifying session. Alas, after 40 laps the new engine blew-up on Michael Schumacher's car. "Unfortunately we will have to wait for another one or two races before we will be able to use this engine in a race," Schumacher said later. "I hope that today's problem was just specifically for this engine and not due to the new design."
