The FIA have dropped plans to add lateral grooves to next year's tyres. Bridgestone asked for the plans to be banned because they were not sure if they could have everything ready for all the teams before the season starts. The front wheel will have one groove more.

Meanwhile Ferrari is trying to convince Goodyear to stay. A Ferrari spokesman said that Goodyear "indicated to us that it is not going to change its mind - but we're still trying."
