Jordan Grand Prix expects performance improvements for Luxembourg. The team's technical director, Mike Gascoyne, said today: "We identified an aerodynamic problem which was hindering us and introduced an intermediate step in time for Hungary which went half way to solving the problem. Now, for Luxembourg, we have taken a more significant step in the same direction and have a new front wing end-plate configuration which should see us running strongly at Nurburgring. We are racing to finish third in the Championship and should have improvements for each race which will allow us to push for this, including a significant up-grade in the Mugen-Honda engine for Suzuka."

About the Weather Gascoyne said that "it is likely to be cold and I believe this will suit the Goodyear tyres. Goodyear has done a very good job over the last few races and has gained an advantage over Bridgestone both in the wet and the dry. From a Jordan perspective, we have been very competitive in the wet - in fact in all the wet sessions in the past few Grand Prix weekends our cars have been consistently in the top two or three places. The car is working well everywhere, and has a good balance. The balance changes from wet to dry are very small meaning we would be happy to run in either wet or dry conditions."
