McLaren driver, David Coulthard, continued to dominate the three day testing session, which ended today in Jerez. Another steady result was that of Williams' Jacques Villeneuve, who was third to Coulthard, splitting the two McLarens together with Johnny Herbert. However, their times were over a second slower than the leading McLaren. McLaren saw two engines go up in smoke.

Today's top times were:

Coulthard 1:23.54 (44 Laps)
Herbert 1:25.05 (70)
Villeneuve 1:25.14 (42)
Hakkinen 1:25.43 (25)
Hill 1:25.73 (84)
Frentzen 1:25.75 (50)
Muller 1:27.88 (29)

Schumacher Does 500 (km)

Schumacher drove a total of 500 kms today, in the time span of over 12 hours. The Ferrari team reported there were no technical problems, and Schumacher will continue tests tomorrow.
