Jean Todt showed himself optimistic about the title chances for Ferrari. Even though McLaren was again dominant this weekend.
He said: "I knew third place would be the best we could expect from this (Spanish) race unless the McLarens ran into trouble and that is how it worked out. But that does not worry me. The gap in the championship is not beyond our reach and I believe it remains open. But I know we have to improve our performance further, along with our technical partners, and then we can be more optimistic. I think the Barcelona track was better for McLaren than for us and we will see things changing."
Ferrari immediately started testing again. Luca Badoer drove 32 laps on the Maranello track today. With a best time of 1m 03.86s.
