Summary

Mika Hakkinen ended the weekend like he started it: as the fastest. David Coulthard completed the McLaren domination with his second place. Michael Schumacher did what he could and ended third.

Notes

• Frentzen was fined $US 1000,- for speeding in the pit-lane during warm-up.
• Panis used the T-car because he had a bad crash during the warm-up. The crash left the front of his Prost completely wrecked.
• Many people at the Arrows team had the flu. Tom Walkinshaw even went home this morning.
• Ford is considering an engine deal with Benetton.
