M. Schumacher faces an investigation again; Sauber news

The mistake that Michael Schumacher made when he tried to take Jacques Villeneuve off during the last race is still haunting him. German prosecutors have started a probe into the collision; to prosecute him for attempted manslaughter. They do this because a man from Frankfurt (Germany) had filed a complaint. Schumacher lost his second place in the final standings of the championship because of the collision.

Chief prosecutor Hans Bernhard Jansen said: "Because of this complaint we are obliged to examine Mr Schumacher's conduct according to the penal code.


Sauber news

Max Welti has resigned with the Sauber team. He has been the team manager for the last two and a half years. Leo Ross will be the technical director. Team boss Peter Sauber will restructure the team for this season.

Ferrari will present their car next Wednesday, Williams will present their next colour scheme. The next team will be Stewart: January 13. Benetton: 15. Jordan: 19. Prost: 20. Sauber:21; Tyrrell may be on the same date.
