There has been a lot of talk lately on the selling of the TWR Arrows team to Zakspeed. In the background however was the report that a Nigerian Prince, Malik Ado Ibrahim, was also interested and some reports stated he would overbid Zakspeed. Insiders now say that this was just a ploy to give Zakspeed control, because this is what, according to the insiders, Bernie Ecclestone wants. Ecclestone has a very good relationship with Zakspeed, who he would like to see in Formula 1, and Malik Ado Ibrahim, who has promised to try and bring Formula One to Africa.

Zakspeed has also been linked to Toyota's Formula One entry in 2001. It is expected that all party's concerned will give more information on the 40 million pound sterling deal tomorrow.
