Tyrrell engine news

Tyrrell and Ford have announced that the former will run customer specification versions of the Ford V10 engine that currently powers the Stewart cars.

Following on from news that Cosworth and Ford may part company, Ford have decided to allow the British team to use a specification 2 steps behind that of the works team.

In other engine news, Tyrrell will have a new version of he Ford ED V8 for the Belgian Grand Prix this weekend.


Newey chassis tweaks for McLaren

McLaren will be running a new aerodynamic package designed by former Williams designer Adrian Newey from the Italian Grand Prix.

The main areas of work have included the diffuser, sidepods, and the front wing.


Milestones for F1 teams

This weekend will mark the 200th Grand Prix for Minardi and the 300th for Arrows.

Neither has won a race so far.
