Almost all the teams were testing at Barcelona (Spain), also because the next Grand Prix will be held there and so all the teams were improving aerodynamics and other things on their cars to have the best for the next race. Frentzen out-paced his team-mate Villeneuve. Fisichella did the same with Ralf Schumacher. Michael Schumacher saw his little brother going faster than him, he was using the new 046/02 engine.

Pedro Diniz tested the new Yamaha V10 engine, the spec D, which the team hoped would bring them more reliability and power, but the engine only lasted one lap on the Magny-Cours (France) track.

The Stewart team was also testing there. Barrichello drove a 1m 15.31s, while Magnussen did a 1m 16.20s.

The Tyrrell team is testing the new ED5 Ford engine on the Silverstone (England) track the first signs are looking good. The engine has got more top speed and works better in corners. Mika Salo was the man on the track today.

Senna trial update

Weird you might call it, the allegations made by the prosecutor Maurizio Passarini against the FOCA and RAI television because the switched to other cameras just before Senna's crash. The prosecutor thinks this footage could have shown what really went wrong.
