German car manufacturer Audi is reportedly interested in acquiring a stake in the Benetton Formula One team. Audi Sport Director, Wolfgang Ullrich, would neither confirm or deny the rumours. Audi has been previously linked with Benetton, as a possible supplier back when Michael Schumacher drove for the team. Despite denials by Alessandro Benetton, the chairman of the Benetton team, the Oxfordshire based team is thought to have been on sale at the right price for some time now.

Ullrich did say however "Our position on doing Formula 1 isn't different to last year and two years ago and we didn't do it then."

Rosset for Jordan?

Ricardo Rosset, the former Lola driver has again been linked with a possible test-driver role with the Jordan-Peugeot team. An announcement is expected shortly on the matter. Rosset's sponsors were very keen to see him continue in Formula 1 after the demise of the Lola team, earlier in the season.
