It rained today at Imola therefor were Schumacher's tests cancelled until late in the afternoon. Schumacher played soccer to kill the time: mechanics (with Schumacher) against the engineers, Schumacher's side won 4-2. Schumacher commenced testing new mechanical parts on the F310 when the track had dried up. He clocked a best time of 1:28.432. Schumacher also met down hill skiing champion Alberto Tomba.

Damon Hill again let the test work be done by Villeneuve and Boullion. They were one and two on today's ranking. Villeneuve with 1:22.4 and Boullion with 1:22.6. Frentzen was again fast in the Sauber-Ford.

Martin Brundle was fastest today at the tests at Silverstone, he clocked a best time of 1:30.07. Alesi was second and Berger third. Ricardo Rosset was testing for the TWR F1 Team and came to a best time of 1:33.19.
