Schumacher tests F310

Michael Schumacher tested the spare and a test car at the Mugello (Italy) circuit today. He drove 40 laps with the spare car (including the 1996 gearbox), preparing for the upcomming European Grand Prix. His best time was 1:27.532. Schumacher also ran 43 laps in the test car (with the 1995 gearbox). Goals of the day included testing a new front wing and a new floor. Schumacher will continue testing tomorrow while Eddie Irvine will also be driving the F310, but for a Shell commercial.

Schumacher was very happy about the way the tests were going: "This was a very positive test. We tried out some interesting new developments on the F310. This is a great track to drive as well as being important from a technical point of view."
