The FIA wants the drivers to take a driving exam next year. The exam will test the knowledge of the drivers of the rules, so to decrease the number of accidents caused by lack of such knowledge. The test will contain multiple-choice questions on: flags, safety cars, premature ended races and what to do if you spin and your car points in the wrong direction. Martin Brundle called it an 'idiot test'. Well for some drivers it may be wise to have such a test.

The FIA also wants to return to the old metal brake discs. The new carbon fibre discs are too good according to Max Mosley. The old iron discs wore out much quicker causing the driver to go easy on the brakes in the beginning of the race so he would have more braking power at the end. With the metal brakes the possibility of passing someone while you brake is greater, the chances now are very slim because the braking point is so late. company who produces the new brakes will be very disappointed if this plan goes through, but for the sport it may be a nice thing.
