- Most teams are on their way home but there was still some testing at Estoril. Jos Verstappen has made his last day of testing in the Arrows, hopefully his team for next year, a personal success. The arrows team can certainly use the Dutch driver after he has set his best time of the testing session: 1:21.90. In 1995 the Arrows could be found in the centre or back of the field now they can compete at the front. For comparison: at the starting grid of the Grand Prix of Portugal the Arrows of Taki Inoue was 19th with 1:24.88 and team-mate Papis was 20th with 1:25.18. The car of course has been improved, because the pole was 1:20.537 to a time for Hill now of 1:19.45, but still the time set by Jos the Boss is very fast.
