- David Coulthard is now officially a McLaren driver. He started his career
with McLaren on Monday. This was the beginning of a four day test session at
Jerez. The young Scotsman drove a total of 64 laps in the MP4/10B car, the 
car of the end of 1995. He drove a best time of 1:25.839.

- A sponsorship deal for Ligier is believed to be very close. Parmalat, an 
Italian diary company who sponsored Forti this year, would be interested in
a deal. If the deal is on the firm will add another year to their long
presence in Formula One.
