Atlas F1

Letter to the Readers

by Biranit Goren

For the last couple of months, Atlas F1 has been undergoing several changes, which I am sure you have all noticed. New writers coming in, more news reports and more in-depth coverage of Formula One. All this has been mainly possible because of the vast support we receive from you - the readers. You comments, your constant encouragement, make our task all the more worthy.

However, Atlas F1 is still going through transition and the changes are not done just yet. New writers will join the Atlas F1 team in the next few weeks; The site will slowly undergo design changes, and eventually I hope you will find Atlas F1 stabilizing itself as the leading Formula One Journal.

One of our most urgent concerns at the moment is the Bulletin Board, which so many of you write to us about, asking for its return. Let me assure you - the Bulletin Board will return, but I ask you to be patient as we resolve problems relating to its smooth running. A new - more stable - server will be up for the Board, and volunteering moderators will assure that all of you could resume posting and reading messages there in a convenient and abuse-free surrounding. While I cannot tell you right now a more precise date as to when the Bulletin Board will be back and functional, I ask that you be patient with us on this, and in a short while you shall have the Bulletin Board up again.

On a different matter: the 1998 season is about to come to its end very soon, and the Atlas F1 team is about to begin its preparations for the season finale and the consequent winter Formula One break. In former years, Atlas F1 had three winter issues between the F1 seasons, one issue every month. This year, Atlas F1 aspires to continue running weekly issues throughout the winter, bar the season's holidays in December, where we shall take a short - but much needed - break. Nonetheless, you can be sure that Atlas F1 will continue to bring you the most thorough coverage of Formula One throughout the Formula One season break.

Several exciting issues await us - starting with a special issue next week, dedicated to Grand Prix racing in the United States. We shall have issues prior to Suzuka covering the build-up to the World Championship finale in Japan and of course, following Suzuka - a series of issues reviewing the 1998 season and its Championship outcome.

I strongly encourage you to write us articles regarding this season, the drivers or the teams. The best of the crop will be reviewed and posted on the Atlas F1 post-season issues.

Once again, thank you for your constant support.
