1997 SuperGrid and SuperRace |
|
Hungarian Grand Prix Edition. Compilation by Rory Gordon, Australia |
This edition of the 1997 SuperGrid is sorted by average time and seems to show that, in many cases, the drivers in some teams are fairly close together (ie. Williams, McLaren, Jordan and Tyrrell).
On the other hand, the times also seem to show that the drivers in other teams are widely separated.
On the third hand, this just goes to show that statistics will prove whatever you want them to.
As usual, those drivers who have not completed in every GP this season are separated out into a "second division".
Villeneuve is still in top spot, based on both position and time.

Sorted on average finishing position, this edition of the 1997 SuperRace once again highlights what a difference a car can make: look at Trulli's differing performances in the Minardi, overall, and in the Prost.
As Hill so amply demonstrated at the Hungarian GP, it doesn't matter how many laps you lead ... it's leading the last lap of the race that counts. That said, Villeneuve has led more laps this season than any
