Welcome to the F1 SuperGrid and SuperRace for 1996.
To those of you who have not seen the SuperGrid and SuperRace before, the idea is to average out each driver's efforts during the season, using the times and positions that he has attained.
All suggestions, corrections and so on, are gratefully received, but are not necessarily acted upon, subject to the compiler's whims.
The SuperGrid and SuperRace are based on the tables formerly presented by John Taylor in Autocourse.
Damon Hill remains in pole position for the 1996 SuperGrid, thanks to his huge margins in the first few races of the season. Despite his pole at San Marino, Michael Schumacher is still back on the second row.
At the other end of the grid, Forti still "dominate", with Luca Badoer now being the final qualifier and Andrea Montermini failing to qualify.
For interest, included for the first time in the SuperGrid is a mark for 107% of pole time, along with the 107% "times".
This Super Grid is sorted on Total Time.

SuperRace
Hill remains the only driver to have completed every lap of every "part" of the 1996 SuperRace so far - he is the leader in every category.
Second position in the SuperRace goes now to Schumacher on one count (average position), or to Jacques Villeneuve (on laps completed).
Included for the first time this season in this table, is the number of laps led by each driver. The domination of the Williams drivers is immediately obvious, but the Ferrari drivers - despite all the talk of unreliability - also seem to be fairly consistent. This Super Race is sorted on Avg. Pos., and then on Laps.
