A Formula One race is all about gaps - closing the gap to the leader, opening a gap to the opponent. The below applet - a first of its kind anywhere on the Internet - allows you to view just how each driver performed throughout the race; how the winner made it to the finish line first. You can watch the entire race, or you can select which drivers or what laps you want replayed. So go ahead, then, click 'Start' and see the 2004 German Grand Prix in action!

Usage Tips:

  • Leaving all drivers checkboxes unmarked will by default include all drivers.

  • If you select only the frontline drivers, the span of seconds will decrease (for example, if a certain driver is 4 laps down because of a long pitstop, you may want to exclude him from your selection in order to view the gaps among the other drivers more clearly).

  • If you select 2 or more drivers, the gaps shown will always be relative to the driver who is ahead among your selection.
