In a change from 2001, drivers must be classified at the end of a race to score points. All the following tables are points per driver.

Points table 1: Adelaide (races 1 and 2), Ipswich and Bathurst.

Points table 2: Phillip Island (races 1 and 2), Oran Park (races 1 and 2), Winton (races 1 and 2) and Surfers Paradise (races 1 and 2).

Points table 3: Eastern Creek (races 1, 2 and 3), Hidden Valley (races 1, 2 and 3), Canberra (races 1 and 2), Barbagallo (races 1, 2 and 3), Pukekohe (races 1, 2 and 3) and Sandown (race 1).

  WRC

Manufacturers points are allocated to the six highest finishing cars eligible to score manufacturers points, using the same distribution as that used for the drivers championship. For a manufacturer to be eligible, they must enter all the season's events with a minimum of two and maximum of three cars. Even if three cars are entered by the manufacturer, only the two best placed cars entered by each manufacturer will score manufacturers points. A car not registered or ineligible to score manufacturers points does not prevent the next best eligible car from earning those points.
